Because You Love Me
Note: All characters don’t belong to me, but Berylune-AND-Kanaloa and I humbly apologize for not getting this done sooner. Well, Sato belongs to whoever made Zelda. XD Also, I have little to no knowledge of the Zelda world, considering the last game I played was 9 years ago. Please don’t hate me. :(

Sato sat under an apricot tree, pondering the day’s events. “Let’s see, sold 5 masks, got a nut hurled at me by a kid, and then there’s….” “Hey Sato!” Miaa suddenly shouted, sending Sato falling on his back. Shaking the spinning chibi-Majoras from his head, Sato, calmly stood up as Miaa flipped out of the tree, landing perfectly just inches from him. “Miaa, I was wondering when you’d show up.” he said with a smile.

Miaa gave him a pouty glance. “You said you’d meet me here an hour ago.” she said, sticking out her bottom lip. Sato nervously grinned. “Um, yeah, sorry about that, I was….” but Miaa put her fingers on his lips. “No excuses.” she stated. Sato gently put his hand on her shoulder, causing her to blush slightly. “So, how can I make it up to you?” he asked.

Miaa stared thoughtfully at Sato, then up at the apricot tree. “You see that big apricot, the one about the middle of the tree?” Sato gulped, nervously staring up at the tree. “Um, yeah.” Miaa grinned devilishly. “I want it.” she said, throwing just a hint of seduction in her voice.  Sato grinned, taking a second glance at the tree. “Uh, how about I just buy you one from the market?” he asked. Of course, the tapping of Miaa’s foot on the ground made him realize there was only one way out, and that was up.

“The things I do for love.” Sato muttered as he grabbed one branch, then another, carefully making his way up the tree. About half-way up the tree, Sato made the mistake of so many, he looked down. Noticing the ground being much farther away than he originally thought, Sato shook the fear that tried to overtake him, climbing higher and higher.

Miaa looked up at Sato, concern written all over her face, as well as guilt. “Come on Sato, I know you can do this.” she said, placing a hand over her heart. At last, Sato reached his destination, reaching out, grabbing the golden apricot, and suddenly, feeling the branch give way under him. Sato barely had time to swear as he quickly began falling, falling for what felt like forever, until suddenly, everything went black.

10 minutes later…………

Sato groaned and slowly opened his eyes, to the sound of Miaa’s voice. “Sato, Sato can you hear me?” she asked in a panic. Sato slowly sat up, and Miaa fell into his arms, sobbing. “Sato, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault, I never should have let you….” but this time, it was Sato’s fingers to her lips. Sato gently cupped Miaa’s chin in his hand, then lifted her head up, and kissed her tenderly, passionately, until her tears stopped. Giving a sigh, Sato reached into his shirt pocket, and produced, well, the produce. “Apricot?” he asked.

Miaa hugged him, hard, while kissing him. “Why did you do that?” she asked. Sato smiled gently, staring deep into her eyes. “Because I love you, Miaa, and I would gladly climb another hundred trees to make you happy.” Miaa stood up, and then helped Sato to his feet. “So, what do you want to do next?” he asked. Miaa smiled up at him. “It doesn’t matter, so long as I’m with you.” she stated, the two sharing another kiss as they walked off into the sunset.
